INVISIBLE
Marking the 20th anniversary of the association exil.arte and the 10th anniversary of the Exilarte Research Centre this concert pays tribute to the voices of those composers, performers, musicologists, and theatre artists who were branded “degenerate” under the Third Reich and whose works have, in many cases, fallen into oblivion.
At the heart of the evening are works by composers in exile, complemented by readings by Cornelius Obonya as well as solo and chamber music performances by artists long associated with Exilarte.
As a contemporary reflection on the themes of invisibility and silencing experienced by artists in exile, the program features the world premiere of INVISIBLE, a composition and performance by Yury Revich for violin, piano and string quartet.
